In this unit we are going to learn more about the history of the countries we are working with. To do so we are going to create a script using questions and answers in the simple past to create a video about the main facts and periods of the history of English speaking countries.

RUBRIC

 In this project we are going to work on the history of the UK, learning their different periods and talking about their main characteristics. To do so we are going to create a timeline in Padlet that we will share in the net. 

We will learn how to express dates,  existence and possession in the past.

En este proyecto vamos a trabajar en la historia del Reino Unido, aprendiendo sobre sus diferentes periodos y hablando sobre sus principales características. Para hacer eso vamos a crear una línea de tiempo con Padlet que compartiremos en la red. 

Aprenderemos a expresar fechas, existencia y posesión en pasado.

ALL AROUND THE WORLD IN ENGLISH 6TH GRADE PROJECT 4

In this unit we are going to choose a woman relevant in science of each of our countries and to write a biography. We will record it using the app Chatterpix as a final product. We will use this little project to commemorate the International Day of Women and Girls in science on the 11th of February.

To do so we will learn how to plan and write short texts that talk about past events. We will work on past tenses and linking words as well as vocabulary related to jobs and actions.

En esta unidad vamos a escoger una mujer relevante en la ciencia de cada uno de los países y vamos a escribir su biografía. La grabaremos usando la app Chatterpix como producto final. Usaremos este pequeño proyecto para conmemorar el día internacional de las mujeres y las niñas en la ciencia que se celebra el 11 de febrero.

Para hacerlo aprenderemos como planificar y escribir pequeños textos que narren sucesos en el pasado para lo que trabajaremos el pasado de los verbos y los conectores además de vocabulario relacionado con empleos y acciones.

ALL AROUND THE WORLD IN ENGLISH 5TH GRADE

In this unit we are going to learn about cities and landmarks in English speaking countries. To do so, we are going to work with comparative and superlative adjectives. To do the research the teams used a worksheet created in google drive where they find some links to browse the information. The final product is a My Map where they had to add these spots and information about them. The methodology is based in Project based learning, cooperative learning and we will use co-assessment to think on the way they worked. 

En esta unidad vamos a trabajar sobre ciudades y lugares relevantes en paises de habla inglesa. Para hacerlo, vamos a trabajar con el comparativo y el superlativo de los adjetivos. Para realizar la investigación, los equipos usaron una ficha creada en google drive donde podían encontrar los enlaces en los que buscar información. El producto final esun My Map donde tendrán que añadir estos lugares e información sobre ellos. La metodología empleada es aprendizaje basado en proyectos, aprendizaje cooperativo y realizarán una sesión de co-evaluación para reflexionar sobre la forma en la que han trabajado.

HALLOWEEN

We celebrated Halloween at school today. 

In the English class we created a Halloween story with the 6th B class, the students made up the story and wrote it using the functions we are working in this unit and they drew the pictures too. They used the app SPARK VIDEO, they designed the images and record the scary voices. It was a good job and great fun. 

Hoy celebramos Halloween en el colegio. 

En la clase de inglés creamos una historia de Halloween con los alumnos de 6º B, ellos inventaron la historia y la escribieron usando las funciones gramaticales que estamos trabajando en esta unidad y dibujaron también las imágenes. Usaron la app SPARK VIDEO, diseñaron las imágenes y grabaron las terroríficas voces. Fue un gran trabajo y muy divertido. 

The 4th grade students create a video dictionary with Halloween vocabulary. They used the app SPARK VIDEO too. They drew the pictures and record the sentences they used in the video. 

Los alumnos de 4º crearon un video diccionario con el vocabulario de Halloween. Usaron también la app SPARK VIDEO. Dibujaron las imágenes y grabaron las frases que usaron con cada una de ellas.
